Abstract: According to Piedra (2018), playfulness encompasses various fundamental dimensions of human life, including games, fun, recreation, and imagination. These elements contribute to the construction of a sense of place and identity and promote meaningful learning. Piedra also tells us that “from a curricular perspective, playfulness can be considered as the creative and joyful potential that exists in each of us and is expressed through different means such as music, sports, art, and others.” This approach is especially valuable in English language teaching, as it allows for the creation of dynamic, motivating, and emotionally safe learning environments where students engage spontaneously.
