Abstract

This research aimed to identify the impact of internal communication within hotels in San Jacinto and how it influences the performance of hotel staff. A mixed methodology was applied, combining quantitative and qualitative methods. The population consisted of 42 employees from various hotels in the community of San Jacinto, Sucre. Data was collected through interviews and a Likert-scale survey administered to employees of different hotels in San Jacinto, Sucre, and analyzed using SPSS version 27 statistical software. The results obtained were positive, demonstrating that internal communication is a fundamental tool for improving employee performance and productivity. Furthermore, the research findings show a significant relationship between internal communication and its influence on the performance of hotel staff. Additionally, it was also evident that internal communication is very important within the hotels of San Jacinto, as it contributes to improving the work environment, allowing hotel staff to be focused and motivated when carrying out their tasks. In conclusion, this research demonstrates that strengthening internal communication within the hotels of San Jacinto, Sucre, helps improve the performance and productivity of employees working in these hotel establishments and promotes the achievement of personal and institutional objectives.
