Abstract: THIS RESEARCH WORK EMPHASIZES THE IMPORTANCE OF USING TEACHING MATERIALS AT THE TIME OF TEACHING THE BASIC VOCABULARIES OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE. IT HAS BEEN PROVEN THAT EACH STUDENT LEARNS DIFFERENTLY, THIS IS WHY IT IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW HOW TO HELP THE STUDENTS ACQUIRE VARIOUS NEW WORDS IN AN EFFECTIVE MANNER.
Description: THE LACK OF MOTIVATION IN THE TEACHING/LEARNING PROCESS OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE IS ONE OF THE PROBLEMS THAT IS MOST NOTABLY PRESENT IN THE 8TH YEAR STUDENTS, PARALLEL "B" OF BASIC EDUCATION AT "JULIO COBO HERNÁNDEZ" EDUCATIONAL UNIT. THIS IS MAINLY DUE TO PHYSIOLOGICAL, PSYCHOLOGICAL, PEDAGOGICAL AND SOCIOLOGICAL FACTORS THAT HAVE MADE IN INCREASINGLY MORE DIFFICULT TO ACHIEVE MEANINGFUL LEARNING.
