| Abstract: | The present research work aims to analyze the consumption of news on the internet in the students of the Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí, which also includes identifying the most used platforms and content as well as their interaction with news information. For this, the bibliographic and analytical method was used, the technique used was an online survey of 378 Uleam students in the city of Manta. With the results collected, it was possible to determine that curiosity is the main reason that motivates university students to consume news incidentally. |
| Description: | El presente trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo analizar el consumo de noticias por internet en los estudiantes de la Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí, lo que incluye también identificar las plataformas y contenidos más utilizados así como su interacción con la información noticiosa. Para ello se empleó el método bibliográfico y analítico, la técnica que se utilizó fue una encuesta en línea a 378 estudiantes de la Uleam de la ciudad de Manta. Con los resultados recopilados se pudo determinar que la curiosidad es la principal razón que motiva a los estudiantes universitarios a consumir noticias de manera incidental. |
