Abstract: The following investigation is framed in the modality of case study, in which A nursing care plan was developed to improve care for children who suffer from an ophidian accident in the pediatric area of ​​the Santo Domingo General Hospital. (Rodriguez Rangel, 2019). It is estimated that annually in the world between 1.8 and 2.7 million snakebite envenomings, of which about than 400,000 result in disability and between 81,000 and 138,000 result in death. The Most of these accidents occur in rural populations in sub-Saharan Africa, South and Southeast Asia, Papua New Guinea and Latin America (Gutiérrez et al., 2017). The WHO ecently developed a strategic plan to support nations affected to achieve the goal of reducing mortality and disabilities by 50% produced by this disease until the year 2030 (WHO, 2019).
Description: La siguiente investigación está enmarcada en la modalidad de estudio de caso, en el cual se elaboró un plan de cuidados de enfermería, para mejorar la atención de los niños que padecen de accidente ofídico en el área de pediatría del Hospital General Santo Domingo. (Rodriguez Rangel, 2019). Se estima que anualmente se producen en el mundo entre 1.8 y 2.7 millones de envenenamientos por mordeduras de serpientes, de los cuales alrededor de 400 000 producen discapacidades y entre 81 000 y 138 000 resultan en muertes. La mayoría de estos accidentes ocurren en poblaciones rurales de África subsahariana, sur y sureste de Asia, Papúa-Nueva Guinea y América Latina (Gutiérrez et al., 2017).
