Manejo odontológico en pacientes pediátricos con trastornos de la hemostasia.

Abstract

BACKGROUND Hemostasis is a defense reaction of the body whose purpose is vascular protection and also to prevent blood loss. Pediatric patients with this type of affectation can occur in the dental office, so the professional in charge must establish an efficient diagnosis and treatment. The best way to avoid some type of bleeding problem after performing surgical treatments will always be prevention and for this you must have a detailed medical history of the patient and opt for non-invasive treatments. OBJECTIVE: To determine the dental management of pediatric patients with hemostasis disorders. METHODS: The information in this review paper is used from articles and journals searched electronically and manually in different databases. RESULTS: the results were obtained by conducting a detailed search and the selected studies were 20 that were most relevant to the objective of this research work. Systematic reviews, articles, case reports, book chapters were selected, which contained relevant information for the investigation. CONCLUSIONS When making the reviews, it is concluded that dental management in pediatric patients with hemostasis disorders can be viable by applying protocols that range from a good anamnesis as well as the implementation of minimally invasive but effective treatments.
