Abstract: The present investigation was carried out at the Río Suma Experimental Farm, which belongs to the Agricultural Engineering career of the Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí University, El Carmen Extension, at kilometer 30 of the Santo Domingo - Chone highway, with the objective of analyzing the effect of six pesticides on mortality of Apis mellifera (Hymenoptera: Apidae). A Completely Random Block Design (DBCA) was used, with 7 treatments and five repetitions, which gave a total of 35 experimental units. The bees were introduced into cages built as established by the Coloss Beebook where they were fed with a 50% water, 50% sugar solution based on weight (kg/Liter) that served as energy food and the different treatments were applied. Follow-up was carried out for five days, resulting in high mortality in the first days. The agrochemicals Bravo 720, Cyperpac and Imidalaq had the highest incidence in mortality with an average of 8.1 bees on the first day, Glyphosate, Propanil 480 and Maxin, showed the highest average (2.5 dead bees day-1 ) on the second day, finally, on the third day Propanil 480 was the one that caused the most deaths, with an average of 2.6 bees day-1. In the case of the control treatment, the mortality of any insect was not recorded at the evaluation time.
