Abstract: A research work was carried out in a banana plantation located in the Rio Suma Experimental farm of the Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí University, extension in El Carmen, with the objective of evaluating the different types of casings with their additive molecules in the banana of export (Musa ABB), for which a completely randomized block design (DBCA) with A x B factorial arrangement was used. For the statistical analysis, Tukey's ignificance test was performed at 5% with the help of the INFOSTAT statistical software; The treatments consisted of two sheathing methods (closed acorn and open acorn) as factor A and the application of additive molecules in the bunch for pest control (natural, sulfur, Bifenthrin and Pyriproxifen) giving a total of 8 treatments with 3 repetitions. The results referring to the production of the number of hands per bunch and the number of exportable fingers per bunch did not find significant differences (p > 0.05) neither in the sheathing methods nor in the additive molecules, however, in the interaction of the factors the use of sheathing in closed acorn plus pyriproxyfen with 28.87 and open acorn with sulfur with 29.53 as the highest production; Regarding the pest attack, the sheathing methods and the additive molecules presented statistical differences (p < 0.05), being the sheathing with the open acorn (0.82%) and the bifenthrin chemical products (0.4% ) and pyriproxyfen (0.82%) had the lowest incidence of pests in the bunch.
Description: Se realizó un trabajo de investigación en una plantación de plátano ubicada en la granja Experimental Río Suma de la Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí, extensión en El Carmen, con el objetivo de evaluar los diferentes tipos de enfunde con sus moléculas aditivas en el plátano de exportación (Musa ABB), para lo cual se utilizó un Diseño de Bloques Completamente al Azar (DBCA) con arreglo factorial A x B. Para el análisis estadístico se realizó la prueba de significación de Tukey al 0,05% con la ayuda del software estadístico INFOSTAT.
