Abstract: The effective control of the black weevil (Cosmopolites sordidus, Germ.) is very important for the producers of Musa AAB, since it is one of the main pests that affect the crop and cause great losses, for this reason in the present research work evaluated at the laboratory level the strains of entomopathogenic fungi Metarhizium anisopliae and Beauveria Bassiana in the form of individual (monosporic) and mixed (polysporic) strains in the control of the black weevil. The experiment consisted of four treatments (T0: Control, T1: Beauveria Bassiana, T2: Metarhizium anisopliae and T3: Beauveria Bassiana + Metarhizium anisopliae) and five repetitions, with a total of 20 experimental units that were sandwich-type traps, where the samples were placed. fungi and weevils, in contact for 40 days. The results obtained showed that the Metarhizium anisopliae strain reached the lowest average mortality (30%) at 40 days of follow-up and with the mixture of entomopathogenic fungi the highest percentage of mortality was reached (96%), being the best treatment, but the Beauveria Bassiana (T1) strain had an average of 94%, which is economically more suitable for producers.
