Alteraciones del esmalte en edad temprana.

Abstract

The general objective of this research was to identify enamel alterations at an early age, and their influence on the quality of life of children. The collection of the information was carried out through the systematization of the information applying an established search algorithm where 180 investigations were initially identified in Google Scholar, indexed journals such as: Redalyc, Scopus, Scielo, and PubMed, previously selected by the terms of inclusion, of which 170 documents were discarded, leaving 10 studies for their systematization process. The investigations were reviewed by applying the CRF-QS instrument, which consisted of 19 criteria, where a score of 1 was given if the criteria were met and 0 if not. The results indicate that genetic and environmental factors are the elements that most influence enamel development defects, causing different anomalies and/or dental dysplasias; Likewise, the systematic review of the research analyzed on the impact of enamel alterations on the quality of life of children showed that the main defects of enamel development at an early age are: hypoplasia, diffuse and demarcated opacity, as well as hypomineralization; which is more concurrent in people with a lifestyle lower than the average of children, likewise, these enamel alterations negatively affect the quality of life both social, emotional and personal. Finally, it is concluded that the alteration of the enamel negatively affects the quality of life of children at an early age, especially in oral health, in their social, emotional and personal life.
