Abstract: | The objective of this research was to determine the biological control of the black boll weevil (Cosmopolites sordidus) with four types of traps with Beauveria bassiana in banana Barraganete, for this purpose 60 experimental units were evaluated arranged in a complete randomized design with 5 treatments: T1 (Control), T2 (Ramp), T3 (Caneca), T4 (Wedge type), T5 (Cormo en V); the number of weevils captured, number of black and striped weevils captured, capture efficiency and production costs were measured. The results showed that the highest number of captured adults of the black weevil (Cosmopolites sordidus) in the Barraganete banana crop was obtained with the wedge trap with 15,33 individuals per week, being superior to the other treatments evaluated. The wedge trap proved to be the most efficient in capturing adults of the black weevil (Cosmopolites sordidus) in the barraganete banana crop, with 39.56%. The production cost of the wedge trap was the most economical with a value of $ 0.61 USD. |
Description: | La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo de determinar el control biológico de picudo negro (Cosmopolites sordidus) con cuatro tipos de trampas con Beauveria bassiana en el cultivo de plátano var. Barraganete, para ello se evaluaron 60 unidades experimentales dispuestos en un diseño completo al azar con 5 tratamientos: T1 (Testigo), T2 (Rampa), T3 (Caneca), T4 (Tipo cuña), T5 (Cormo en V); se midió el número de picudos capturados, número de picudos negros y rayados capturados, eficacia de captura y costos de producción. Los resultados mostraron que La mayor cantidad de adultos capturados de picudo negro (Cosmopolites sordidus) en el cultivo de plátano Barraganete se logró obtener con la trampa tipo cuña con 15,33 individuos a la semana, siendo superior a los demás tratamientos evaluados. |
