Abstract: The objective of this research was: To evaluate the productive behavior of free-range chickens with plantain meal supplementation. For the evaluation of the data, a Complete Randomized Design (C.R.D.) was used, with factorial arrangement A (Sex) and B (Percentage of plantain meal) with eight treatments: T1 (Females + 0% HP), T2 (Males + 0% HP), T3 (Females + 20% HP), T4 (Males + 20% HP), T5 (Females + 25% HP) and T6 (Males + 25% HP), T7 (Females + 30% HP) and T8 (Males + 30% HP), and eight observations, the field work lasted 8 weeks, feed intake, weight gain, feed conversion, mortality and finally economic valuation of each of the treatments were measured. The results showed that the factorial interaction A (Sex)*B (Percentage of plantain meal) in weight gain was higher in treatment T2 (Males + 0 % HP) with 651,13 grams in week 8. Regarding feed conversion, there was an effect at the level of factor B (Percentage of plantain meal), with the T2 treatment (Males + 0 % of HP) being the most efficient, since it had the lowest feed conversion with 1,78, which implies that, for 1,78 kg of feed consumed, the free-range chickens of this treatment produced one kg of meat. There was no statistical evidence showing the effect of banana meal supplementation on the mortality percentage of the treatments. Finally, in the economic analysis of the treatments, it was determined that T2 (Males + 0% HP) presented the highest benefit-cost ratio with 1,83 and a benefit of 45,45%.
