Abstract: A research work was carried out in the cattle farm called "Las Chavelas" located in Puerto Nuevo via San Juan del Búa, with a longitude of 0º5`15`` S and an altitude of 79º36`60``W, and an area of 170 msnm; with the objective of determining the effect of four levels of (ECG) in fixed-time artificial insemination protocols in crossbred cows, for which a completely randomized block design (DBCA) was established with 4 doses of hormone, where the The means of the treatments were compared with the Tukey test at 5% probability, in each treatment 5 crossbred cows were used, from the first and second parturition with an age of 30 to 36 months, which were used in the artificial insemination, the checkups to determine if they are pregnant was carried out at 60 days, the parameters evaluated were service rate (TS), conception rate (TC), pregnancy rate (TP) and rate of response to ovulation synchronization (TRSO). The results found determined that there were significant differences (p < 0.05) in terms of CT, where the dose of 2 ml of eCG had the highest value with 80%, while for the variables TP and TRSO the doses They did not present statistical differences (p > 0.05), giving a percentage of 40% of pregnant crossbred cows.
Description: La ganadería bovina representa uno de los rubros más importantes dentro de la actividad agropecuaria del mundo, satisface en gran medida las necesidades alimenticias y significa un sustento económico para las familias que se dedican a esta explotación, sin embargo, con el paso de los años los requerimientos de productos lácteos y cárnicos de este sector han incrementado por el aumento de la población y las necesidades de proteínas de origen animal, lo que lleva a mejor la práctica y el manejo de los animales (Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Alimentación y Agricultura (FAO, 2020).
