Abstract: The objective of this research was to evaluate the application of Beauveria bassiana in the control of Cosmopolites sordidus in banana barraganete (Musa AAB), for this purpose 20 experimental units were evaluated in a complete randomized design with 5 treatments: T1 (10 g), T2 (15 g), T3 (20 g) and T4 (25 g); the number of weevils captured, number of black and striped weevils captured, capture efficiency, mortality and production costs were measured. The treatments evaluated were established in a Randomized Complete Block Design DBCA, but their processing varied according to the nature of the data for each variable, so the non-parametric Kruskal Wallis test was applied for the variables number of live and striped weevils captured. The results showed that there was an effect of Beauveria bassiana on weevil control only in the mortality variable, in which T2 (15 g) and T3 (20 g) of Beauveria are statistically equal with mortalities of 75.03 % and 76.04 %, respectively. The lowest investment cost of the traps with biological attractant was in T1 (10 g) of Beauveria bassiana with $ 1,43 USD, followed by T2 (15 g) with $ 1,48 USD.
