Abstract: Through this research project, relevant information was obtained to know the most relevant aspects in the marketing of cocoa and the reality experienced by the producers of the canton in the sale of their products; This work was developed in the canton of El Carmen, province of Manabi, with the objective of analyzing the marketing system of cocoa cultivation, for which a survey of producers was established; 40 surveys were taken from producers in the rural parishes of San Pedro de Suma and Santa Maria, through the survey was consulted on the influence of cultural work and commercial aspects of the sale of cocoa. In the results obtained through the surveys it was determined that most farmers do not have technical labor, however, the area and its climatic conditions are good for the production of cocoa, in terms of marketing the sale of the grain is done in 100% in slime, the sale price reaches $0.35 with a fortnightly frequency and mostly with more than 10 quintals, although according to the perception of farmers this price and the income generated in the sale does not fit the production costs they have.
Description: A través de este proyecto de investigación se obtuvo la información pertinente para conocer los aspectos más relevantes en la comercialización del cacao y de la realidad que viven los productores del cantón en la venta de sus productos; este trabajo se desarrolló en el cantón El Carmen provincia de Manabí con el objetivo de analizar el sistema de comercialización del cultivo de cacao, para lo cual se estableció una encuesta a los productores; se tomaron 40 encuestas a productores de las parroquias rurales de San Pedro de Suma y Santa María, a través de la encuesta se consultó sobre la influencia de las labores culturales y los aspectos comerciales de la venta de cacao.
