Abstract

The purpose of the integrating project lies in the construction of the facility for pregnant and lactating sows in an aerial deep bedding system in the Chone canton, using bamboo cane (Caña Saccharum officinarum) as the primary material for construction, in order to Minimize the problems presented by conventional facilities for small and medium-sized pig farmers, such as: nontechnical infrastructures, poor management of biological waste, little dynamism of nutritional protocols, minimal handling of sanitary protocols, inadequate management of productive factors. The innovation on the aerial deep bed system was projected because it allows to reduce the investment in the facilities, where the producer generally has the raw material in the agricultural production units, giving a new and improved model in pig production for rural areas. In this sense, the proposed construction enhances and provides positive benefits to the animals, accompanied by a technical manual that serves as a functional pedagogical and didactic document f or the eff icient application of the pig farmers of the territory.The implemented methodologies were theoretical (Analysissynthesis) and empirical (scientific observation, vernacular architecture) with their respective data collection techniques (interview and survey), based on strengthening the deep bed system that is closely related to the Sustainability in the face of globalization processes.
