Abstract

Maintaining the integrity and harmony of the stomatognathic system and identifying factors that can alter it is of utmost importance to preserve the oral and general health of a patient and also their emotional stability; since when anomalies such as anterior open bite occur, it causes insecurity for those who present it, since it is an area visible to others when speaking or smiling. Thus, the objective of this project was to determine the risk factors related to anterior open bite through an analytical bibliographic review, documentary bibliographic design, transversal, this collects information in a single determined time. The methods and techniques used for this project were taken from the collection of data in scientific journals and articles that are supported in pages such as Scielo, PUBMED, medigraphic, dental science and medicine; Once these documents have been analyzed, the results will be reflected in the conclusions according to the objectives set.
