Abstract: The development of information and telecommunication technologies, computers, tablets and cell phones have made it possible to communicate and process information over long distances. However, it was demonstrated that their inadequate use in virtual environments caused disinterest and un motivation in students. The present research analyzed the implementation of methodological strategies in virtual learning environments in the subjects of physics and mathematics in the "Cinco de Mayo" Fiscomisional Educational Unit of the Chone canton in the period 2021-2022. The study was based on methods and techniques, which allowed the theoretical basis through synthetic and bibliographic analysis to approach the problem presented, in addition, the development of the teachinglearning process in virtual environments was observed, surveys were conducted to students and interviews to teachers where were identified as deficiencies in the teaching and learning process: that there are teachers who use the appropriate methodological strategies, being beneficial to work with them and in teaching virtually, although only sometimes they make use of interactive programs in physics and mathematics lessons; that students have internet access and always connected to classes in virtual modality, however they consider regular the use of new methodologies and only sometimes use the methodologies when teaching mathematics and physics lessons, evaluating of regular in the academic performance through virtual platforms.
Description: El desarrollo de las tecnologías de la información y las telecomunicaciones, las computadoras, las Tablet y los celulares han permitido la comunicación y el procesamiento de la información a grandes distancias. No obstante, quedó demostrado que su uso inadecuado en los entornos virtuales, provocó desinterés y falta de motivación en los estudiantes. La presente investigación analizó la implementación de las estrategias metodológicas en entornos virtuales de aprendizaje en las asignaturas de física y matemática en la Unidad Educativa Fiscomisional “Cinco de Mayo” del cantón Chone en el periodo 2021-2022.
