Abstract

Dental Agenesis is a pathology that can be caused by multiple factors whether anvironmental, genetic or evolutionary; however, whatever the origin of the pathology, it afeccts a large percentage of people with a world wide prevalence of up to 20%, this pathology is treated with various dental discuplines, it must be assisted mainly by an orthodontist and by a rehabilitator or implantologist An oral surgeon or a periodontist may also be needed, depending on the treatment to be followed. This research shows that with an early and effective diagnosis, the pathology can be treated in the long term and excellent results can be obtained in adulthood. Dental agenesis can affect any of the teeth but it has been shown to have a higher prevalence in the maxillary lateral incisors and third molars. Each case of dental agenesis must be evaluated as an individual case since not all patients have the same disease. condition to apply the different treatments that exist and find the most appropriate for the patient.
