Abstract

The stability and harmony of the stomatognathic system is intimately linked to the quality of life that an individual leads, so that each action that is carried out in their daily lives becomes determining factors to give way to alterations or the appearance of diseases within the oral cavity; as is the case of the consumption of addictive substances. Thus, the objective of this project was to describe the oral manifestations associated with the use of addictive substances in young patients through a bibliographic review, analytical, documentary bibliographic design, cross sectional, this collects information in a single determined time. The methods and techniques used for this project were taken from data collection in scientific journals and articles that are supported on pages such as Scielo, PUBMED, dental science and medicine; Once these documents have been analyzed, the results were reflected in the conclusions according to the stated objectives.
