Abstract

The current methodological proposal for strengthening Identity and digital competence management emphasizes the information security of students in the Management of Information Systems program. Its objective was to create an action plan to enhance the digital identity management of students in the Management of Information Systems program. A quantitative methodology was employed through the implementation of a survey designed to assess the level of knowledge and behaviors related to digital identity management of the students. The survey data obtained were analyzed to find significant results that allowed identifying areas for improvement and specific needs. These results were used to design a personalized Action Plan that adapts to the students' needs and preferences. The proposal included a series of specific activities, such as training workshops, the development of educational resources, curriculum adjustments, and the promotion of professional profiles on social networks. These activities aim to strengthen the skills and awareness of the students regarding the secure management of their digital identity. The proposal of this Action Plan provides learners with the necessary tools and knowledge to effectively manage their digital identity, safeguarding their privacy and reputation. Furthermore, it aims to prepare students within the classroom to face challenges of the digital environment in their professional field, developing key digital skills.
