La Nueva Cultura Digital Frente a los Desafíos de la Educación en Principios y Valores en la Unidad Educativa Fiscal “Medardo Mora Sierra” del Cantón Manta, Periodo 2022-2023.

Abstract

Digital culture is a problem that affects children, due to the inappropriate use of technology, generating unhealthy habits, bad attitudes, changing lifestyles, and education in principles and values which is essential for their good personal development. The objective of this research was to analyze and investigate the changes in traditional lifestyles, determine the role of the family and school in promoting education in principles and values as well as the impact of the new digital culture against the challenges of education in principles and values, in the Fiscal Educational Unit Medardo Mora Sierra, the hypothesis that was handled was that the new digital culture has a negative impact on the development of education in principles and values in children, the methodology used in this research is quantitative approach. The type of research is descriptive because it allowed to know more about this phenomenon, the selected research design was non-experimental, the data that were collected were systematized through the research method, inductive, deductive, and analytical, synthetic, information was obtained through data collection instruments, surveys were applied which were applied to 25 teachers of the educational institution and to 246 parents of the children and adolescents. This research concludes that the new digital culture has had a strong impact on the changes and lifestyles of children, emphasizing education in principles and values, it is necessary for children the family and educational environment for their proper development and personal development.
