Abstract: | Infrastructures are responsible for the provision of quality public services, efficient urban mobility, regional and country integration, the reduction of social inequalities or the successful marketing of products by sea, land and air. (CAF, 2022). Public infrastructures and social infrastructures are an important component for the development of a city, bringing the most vulnerable sectors closer to services and utilities that enhance important aspects of quality of life such as education, health, work, culture and recreation. Currently, the 21 LAC countries included in the global MPI are home to 38 million people who lived in multidimensional poverty (prior to the pandemic), a figure that represented 7.2% of the regional population. (MPPN, 2022) In Latin America, the existence of multidimensional poverty and employability problems is latent, which is why the support of the public and private sectors is required to reduce the rates of this problem. Pascuales is an important parish in Guayaquil, being a relevant productive sector and with an emerging population, but with an important need for social infrastructure, these being the most important characteristics that were taken into account to begin the research process. This project aims to develop an urban architectural proposal for a social and labor infrastructure network to improve the problem described, and therefore the quality of life of these people. The methodology used for the above was developed in the first place an investigation, through direct observation, surveys, analysis and investigation of the daily activities and quality of life of the inhabitants in a situation of social vulnerability in the Pascuales parish and as a result it has been proposed an integrated network of a matrix-type social and labor center and a smaller model applied to specific areas. |
