Abstract

In the following degree work, the interest towards this topic on the line of research of “Historical Cultural Urban Architectural Heritage”, in the city of Manta, arises from the little attention received towards these goods, it is only enough to observe a few houses or buildings that marked a before and after in the history or the development of the city, these immovable relics have a high historical value and that keep in the collective memory of the city, the concentration of the great part of these patrimonial assets occurs in the first settlements of the mantenses, drifting from the coastal profile or known also the center of Manta. At present Manta has become and is in permanent development with the current GAD, in a city very recognized locally and internationally, this gives it an important limit by giving it greater interest in real estate and is also regulated in the Ordinances the preservation and care of them. There is evidence a discrepancy between the context of a historical cultural-social area and an urban area that follows trends and not architectural styles clashing with each other, elements, colors, or shapes are not respected; no pattern is followed. The high contrast between what is built today and yesterday is very absurd, the sensations and the visual negative impacts on society towards the city. The research work seeks a path for the conservation of architectural heritage and greater emphasis on projects that solve the abandonment of these inheritances for the city with a new use for the majority population without exclusion.
