Transformación de la dinámica urbana derivada de la implementación de equipamientos urbanos caso de estudio: terminal terrestre de Manta.

Abstract

Transportation is one of the influential agents in the transformation of the dynamics of the city through which people manage to interact in the different activities that daily life demands. This essay outlines the transformations in urban dynamics derived from the presence of bus terminals, adopting the city of Manta as a reference for contextualization. The qualitative research based on the IMRYD structure follows the particularities of a review article, whose selection and treatment of information was based on the relevance of the contents. It is concluded that the image of the city is an element of urban architecture, since it refers to the combination of natural and built elements that are part of the visual framework of the inhabitants and that must be interrelated with customs and uses, as well as with the type of economic activities that characterize the city. Likewise, regarding the normative in Ecuador, it is evident that from the establishment of the new Constitution (2008), several legal bodies have been developed that regulate the territorial ordering and that of its components; however, little is said about bus terminals and their impact on the dynamics of the city or about guidelines that guide their design or location.
