Abstract: The following investigation was carried out at the Rio Suma Experimental Farm of the Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí El Carmen Extension, Vía Santo Domingo - Chone Km 30 roundabout of the virgin Right margin. The objective of this research is to evaluate the productive parameters before feed conversion, laying percentage (monthly), quail egg weight (beginning of laying, laying peak), number of eggs produced per month, quail egg weight, quail egg yolk weight, quail egg albumen weight, quail egg diameter (mm), mortality rate, cost, feeding crushed oregano to quail daily feed. Two hundred laying quails (Coturnix coturnix japonica) of 6 weeks of age distributed with a completely random design were used, 5 treatments with four repetitions and 10 birds for each experimental unit were used. The duration of the project was 18 weeks. The treatments used were: T1. (witness) 250 g of balanced, T2. 247.5 g of balanced + 2.5 g of oregano, T3. 245 g of balanced + 5 g of oregano, T4. 242.5 g of balanced + 7.5 g of oregano, T5 240 g of balanced + 10 g of oregano, with non-significant results between treatments for the different variables.
Description: La siguiente investigación se llevó a cabo en la Granja experimental Rio Suma de la Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí Extensión El Carmen, Vía Santo Domingo - Chone Km 30 redondel de la virgen Margen derecho. El objetivo de esta investigación es evaluar los parámetros productivos ante Conversión alimenticia, porcentaje de postura (mensual), peso del huevo de codorniz (inicio de la postura, pico de postura), número de huevos producidos al mes, peso del huevo de codorniz, peso de la yema de huevo de codorniz, peso de la albúmina del huevo de codorniz, diámetro del huevo de codorniz (mm), porcentaje de mortalidad, costo, administrando orégano triturado a la alimentación diaria de las codornices.
