Prevalencia de nematodos gastrointestinales en terneros en el cantón La Concordia.

Abstract

The present research work was developed in the canton La Concordia, province of Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas with the objective of determining the prevalence of gastrointestinal nematodes in calves in the canton La Concordia, this research work is an experimental study of descriptive type, it is carried out a random probabilistic sampling, where a detailed "n" sample was selected and evaluated from the collection of stool samples from 322 calves in La Concordia canton. The parasitic prevalence of the eggs was determined by Mac Master technique with the purpose of determining the same ones that in this investigative work was a total prevalence of 35%, the degree of infestation that was obtained in the animals approximately 1 month to 1 year approximately sampled in the La Concordia canton where a serious or massive level was obtained 0,56%, moderate 1,67%, mild 32,78% and negative 65% It is concluded by mentioning that an adequate monitoring of nematode control must be carried out in the existing calves in La Concordia canton. It is recommended to take this research as a reference for further studies based on this broad and important research topic.
