Caldo sulfocálcico silícico para el tratamiento de enfermedades en el cultivo de pitahaya orgánica (Hylocereus undatus), Santo Domingo.

Abstract

The cultivation of organic Pitahaya is one of the many alternatives that are currently being presented as a source of production in the agricultural sector of the country, which also presents a product harvested under the organic profile, without the presence of chemical products. The use of silica sulfocalcic broth in the control of crop diseases is one of the many measures by which the farmer can work maintaining organic production, thus finding ways to export healthy foods. The objective of this work was to evaluate the influence of silicic sulfocalcic broth in the treatment of Botryosphaeria dothiorella (Fisheye) and Colletotrichum sp. (Anthracnose) diseases in organic pitahaya (Hylocereus undatus), in Santo Domingo, Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas. . Different doses of the product were applied to the plants of each of the plots. Among the results obtained, the product used supported significantly in the reduction of the presence of diseases, the number of infected plants had a marked improvement in terms of the presence of signs of the two diseases; likewise, in the fruits the presence of damage was reduced at the time of harvesting this compared to the first data collection, in the same way the number of infected pods was significantly reduced for each plant evaluated, this in accordance with the consecutive applications of the treatment.
