Abstract: The cultivation of organic Pitahaya is one of the many alternatives that are currently being presented as a source of production in the agricultural sector of the country, which also presents a product harvested under the organic profile, without the presence of chemical products. The use of silica sulfocalcic broth in the control of crop diseases is one of the many measures by which the farmer can work maintaining organic production, thus finding ways to export healthy foods. The objective of this work was to evaluate the influence of silicic sulfocalcic broth in the treatment of Botryosphaeria dothiorella (Fisheye) and Colletotrichum sp. (Anthracnose) diseases in organic pitahaya (Hylocereus undatus), in Santo Domingo, Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas. . Different doses of the product were applied to the plants of each of the plots. Among the results obtained, the product used supported significantly in the reduction of the presence of diseases, the number of infected plants had a marked improvement in terms of the presence of signs of the two diseases; likewise, in the fruits the presence of damage was reduced at the time of harvesting this compared to the first data collection, in the same way the number of infected pods was significantly reduced for each plant evaluated, this in accordance with the consecutive applications of the treatment.
Description: El cultivo de Pitahaya orgánica es uno de las muchas alternativas que se están presentado en la actualidad como fuente de producción en el sector agrícola del país, que además presenta un producto cosechado bajo el perfil orgánico, sin la presencia de `productos químicos. El uso del caldo sulfocálcico silícico en el control de las enfermedades del cultivo es una de las muchas medidas por las cuales el agricultor puede trabajar manteniendo una producción orgánica, encontrando así vías rutas de exportación de alimentos saludables.
