Abstract: The following research project was carried out on the Venado road, El Mayal site, as part of the School of Agricultural Sciences of the Eloy Alfaro Lay University of Manabí, El Carmen extension, located at km 36 of the Santo Domingo - Chone road in the Rancho sector. Ronald, with the objective of evaluating the biological behavior and quality of meat in the replacement of commercial feed, under the effect of four percentage levels of vitaminized corn in the feeding of free-range chickens; for which 2 treatments were established, the first with commercial balanced with vitaminized corn and the second with normal corn, the data obtained were analyzed with the Student's T statistical test, for each treatment 8 chickens were evaluated in the variables weight, gain of weight and carcass yield and percentage of mortality per week. The statistically analyzed results determined that the chickens at the beginning of the experiment had weights of 163 g in the first week, reaching 1168 g at week 5, in terms of feeding with corn in weeks 7 and 9, significant differences were found between the treatments in the one that each one surpassed the other per week, in the weight gain the chickens had statistical differences from the seventh week, being the last week the one with the highest value with 282.39 g; in the weight and yield to the carcass there are no statistical differences between the two types of corn supplied, for the feed conversion significant differences were determined, being better the chickens fed with vitaminized corn, in relation to the economic benefit the chickens fed with normal corn had the best response in the benefit/cost ratio.
