Producción de pollos camperos (Gallus gallus) con tres sistemas alternativos de crianza Puerto Limón - Santo Domingo.

Abstract

The breeding systems in the production of free-range chickens through different crops in the Santo Domingo area have been developed in an adequate way, taking advantage of the nutrients provided by the different ecosystems, it is due to this that the research aimed to evaluate the effect of management of free-range chickens (Gallus gallus) in the development stage with three agricultural production systems on the productive and organoleptic parameters in the Puerto Limón parish. The research was carried out in the "La Victoria" farm located at km 21 on the road to Chone, pre-parish "New Israel" - "El Jordán" Campus, with a completely randomized block design (DBCA) factorial (3x2), represented by three repetitions with a total of 18 experimental units. The factors evaluated are the different breeding systems (Crops) and sexing (Males and Females). In mortality, it was observed that the treatment with the rearing system in the cocoa crop had a percentage of 0% mortality, the males had a 0.83% mortality. In the initial weight, the male free-range chickens reached a weight of 870.89 grams. In the final weight, the male free-range chickens obtained a weight of 2092.06 grams. For the daily weight gain variable, Treatment 2 (rearing system in cocoa cultivation with Males) obtained a daily gain of 35.82 grams. In the bromatological analysis, the banana system obtained 19.22% protein and the citrus system obtained 3.48% fat.
