Abstract

An investigation was carried out in the fields of the experimental farm "Rio Suma" of the agricultural engineering career of the Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí extension in El Carmen, with the aim of evaluating the effect of the use of growth stimulators synthetic, in banana plants under thermal chamber conditions, for this a completely randomized block design (DBCA) was proposed in which 7 treatments and 3 repetitions were established, for the treatments two synthetic growth stimulators were chosen, auxins and gibberellins in doses of 1, 2 and 3 ml L-1 plus a control without application of phytohormones, for the development of the research corms in excellent condition were selected and placed in a thermal camera to accelerate the seedling multiplication process. The results found determined that for the height of the plant and the number of leaves there were no significant differences between the mean of the treatments, the plants treated with auxin with 1 ml L-1 reached the best responses in pseudostem perimeter (7.83 cm) In the first week, percentage of survival (90%) and percentage of dry matter (18.20%), while for the number of roots the treatment with auxin at 2 ml L -1 had the highest yield with 56 roots; auxins had better results in most of the variables studied.
