Caracterización de los agrosistemas productores de plátano en El Carmen, Manabí.

Abstract

This research work was carried out with the purpose of characterizing the plantain producing agrosystems in El Carmen, Manabí. For which 42 surveys were carried out at random plantain producers; the dependent variables evaluated were: general characteristics of the crop, management practices, soil fertility, harvest and benefit, system production, participants and family members. For the statistical analysis a hierarchical cluster analysis and multivariate analysis of multiple correspondence with the use of the SPSS statistical software was used. The three groups were established: small (<5 hectares), medium (5-20 hectares) and large (> 20 hectares), which had statistical inference about the following variables: Does the farm have advice? Have you performed soil analysis? Do you receive technical advice to fertilize? Who do you sell your production to? Previous production systems? Products for family consumption? ¿Products for sale? Inorganic waste management? and decision making in plantain management?
