Abstract: | The investigation was carried out at the Hcda. “The Leos”, in PortoviejoManabí. An experiment was carried out to evaluate the effects of the use of sulphocalcic silica broth on the phytophagous insect Leptoglossus zonatus of pitahaya (Hylocereus undatus) under organic cultivation conditions. The experimental design that was used was the Randomized Complete Block Design (DBCA) with factorial arrangement A * B plus a Witness, where A corresponded to the doses of silica sulphocalcic broth and B, to the frequency of application. T4 with a high dose of calcium-sulfur-silicic broth with two applications of the product had the highest number of fruits harvested in the pitahaya crop at 15 days after application with an amount of 2.44 fruits and at 30 daa with a amount of 1.50 fruits. In turn, the fruits reached the largest diameter with 8.27 cm, the highest yield and the lowest incidence of phytophagous insects. With this treatment, the highest net income was reached $5,237.98, which together with the productive parameters evaluated make it the most suitable for use in an agroecological management of pests in the cultivation of pitahaya. |

Se realizó un experimento para evaluar los efectos del uso del caldo sulfocálcico silícico sobre el insecto Leptoglossus zonatus fitófago de la pitahaya (Hylocereus undatus) en condiciones de cultivo orgánico. El diseño experimental que se utilizó fue el Diseñode Bloques Completos al Azar (DBCA) con arreglo factorial A * B más un Testigo, donde A correspondió a las dosis de caldo sulfocálcico silícico y B, a la frecuencia de aplicación. |
