Abstract: The present research work arises from the constant decline in oral expression, no written production and lack of awareness of the social environment, historical and cultural evidence in the eighth year students of Higher Basic Education of the Fiscal Educational Unit "Natividad Delgado de Alfaro" of Canton Montecristi during the return to academic activities. Faced with the friction produced in the development of these language skills, there is a need to propose methodological strategies that stimulate the learning of young people and reinforce their perception of their local context. Therefore, this project aims to design learning teaching strategies through oral and written expression with the use of myths and legends. This research took a mixed approach, several interviews were conducted with the teacher of Language and Literature of the institution, in addition to the contribution of the Lycée.
Description: El presente trabajo de investigación surge a partir de la constante decadencia en la expresión oral, la nula producción escrita y falta de conciencia del entorno social, histórico y cultural que se evidencia en los estudiantes de octavo año de Educación Básica Superior de la Unidad Educativa Fiscal “Natividad Delgado de Alfaro” del cantón Montecristi durante el regreso a las actividades académicas presenciales.
