Abstract

The study area is located in the urban area of the city of Calceta, in which we find commercial, administrative and financial areas, within these areas there are problems of vehicular and pedestrian mobility, this sector has a tourist and economic potential that has not been used properly, for this he developed a report based on a diagnosis in which the problems of the sector were analyzed, making a recognition of the place and in dialogue with the inhabitants vital information was collected that helped us identify the needs Priority place. This process provides us with sufficient guidelines to propose a proposal that helps us solve mobility problems, and improvement in criteria for adaptation for pedestrians, the research aimed to design an urban proposal to improve pedestrian mobility in the urban area of the Calceta city that includes the streets Juan Montalvo, Abdón calderón, Ricaurte and the avenue 10 de Agosto. The proposal was designed based on the accessibility standards for people with disabilities and reduced mobility to the physical environment, pedestrian circulation roads, (NTE INEN 2243), it was possible to integrate the existing public spaces within the intervention area, the environments were improved and urban furniture implement to beautify the circuit of the intervened area, sidewalks were extended to give priority to pedestrian circulation, all these aspects incorporated into the proposal help us improve the image of the city and provide a better quality of life for its inhabitants.
