Abstract

The cultural heritage that shows every corner of the country is considerable, and if we refer to the province of Manabí or rather its capital, the Portoviejo canton can differentiate that there are several cultural manifestations that establish part of the inherited wealth of our ancestors and that It is still alive today. For this reason, this research has been launched because it is not only important to know about the subsistence of culture, but also to live it, take care of it and appreciate it, since if it is left in oblivion it should not be inherited To future generations. The main objective of this research is the elaboration of a tourist - cultural informative guide that serves to promote and spread everything about social folklore, making it known as a great contribution to the development of tourism, so that not only culture It will be part of the tradition of the past, but it will also be the starting point for future progress. That is why imparting knowledge of social folklore is very important because it would be promoting tourism development and at the same time preserving the cultural heritage that is part of the identity of the people, we cannot erase what we are, so our duty is to give it To know over time. For the development of this research we cannot ignore clearly define the concept of FOLCLORE and indicate how the term is used correctly in our language today. Folklore is an English language word that is also used in our language, although, according to the dictionary of the Royal Spanish Academy (RAE), folklore is written. On many occasions, it may appear written as folklore, folklore or folklore. The term nowadays in generalized form refers to the set of beliefs, practices and customs that are innate traditional of a people or culture.
