Abstract

This project prepares a business plan for the creation of a microenterprise dedicated to rent bicycles for tourist purposes in the city of Manta. “LOBIC” proposes the rental of bicycles with a bamboo structure (quadrant), this proposal, in addition to encouraging tourism in the city, is also presented as an initiative for environmental conservation through the use of a renewable material such as bamboo In addition, it will contribute to the development of the productive matrix since it will generate jobs. Through market analysis, 384 people were surveyed, where information was obtained important, on the length of stay of the tourists, if they would be willing to use the service and how much they would be willing to pay for it. Future clients are people between 18 and 50 years old, without distinction of sex, who seek to make new ways of doing tourism, “LOBIC” will propose 3 types of bicycle rental which will be: for tourism, transportation and recreation, through market research a target market of 2,375, said result served as a guide for the calculation of a consumption projection monthly in Manta of 9,946 units per month. The venture will have an investment of $177,686 of which 30% will be resources own funds that are equivalent to $53,305 and 70% will be obtained through bank credit, which is equivalent at $124,381, with a payment period of 5 years, with an interest rate of 11.15%. This investment has a recovery period (PRI) of 3 years 0 months 12 days, a Positive NPV of $179,567 and an IRR of 41.8%, thus making it a viable venture for its realization.
