Abstract: The investigative work consisted in determining to what extent the fitness trend influences the consumption of sporting goods in the city of Manta, for this purpose a research was carried out with a qualitative and quantitative approach, descriptive, bibliographic-documentary, field , exploratory and correlational; primary information was obtained through the application of data collection instruments such as: Surveys of the population that performs fitness exercises and owners of fitness centers in the city of Manta and interviews with the managers of the Kao and Marathon sports stores. With the main results obtained based on the surveys and interviews, it was determined that 82% of the respondents consider part of their life to practice fitness exercises and perform them frequently to achieve a better performance and it was detected that 79% have noticed positive changes in their health, it should be noted that fitness helps people's self-esteem, since 86% said they are proud of themselves, entertained and away from stress while practicing physical exercises, and based on the data provided by the administrators of the sports stores of the total of their sales between 20 and 32% are of fitness products; In general terms, the population of Manta is influenced by the fitness trend to consume sporting goods.
Description: El trabajo investigativo consistió en determinar en qué medida la tendencia fitness influye en el consumo de artículos deportivos en la ciudad de Manta, para ello se llevó a cabo una investigación con un enfoque cualitativo y cuantitativo, de tipo descriptiva, bibliográfica-documental, de campo, exploratoria y correlacional; se obtuvo información primaria a través de la aplicación de instrumentos de recolección de datos tales como: Encuestas a la población que realiza ejercicios fitness y dueños de centros fitness de la ciudad de Manta y entrevistas a los administradores de las tiendas deportivas Kao y Marathon.
