Evolución de la formación bruta de capital fijo y su incidencia en la economía ecuatoriana. 2007-2019.

Abstract

Gross Fixed Capital Formation (FBKF) is a crucial indicator of investment in the Ecuadorian economy, playing a central role in the country's economic policy. From 2007 to 2019, the FBKF has presented significant changes in its behavior, influenced by factors of the national economy and the international environment. Despite investments in key sectors such as hydrocarbons, agriculture and construction, Ecuador has faced economic challenges that have affected its stability and growth, behavior that requires a detailed analysis of its relationship with the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The object of study of this degree work is the evolution of the FBKF in Ecuador during the aforementioned period. The results indicate that the FBKF showed a variable behavior, and a direct relationship between the FBKF and GDP, highlighting the importance of investment in non-financial assets for economic development. The objectives of the study include analyzing the composition of the FBKF and evaluating the participation of each sector in the Ecuadorian economy.
