Abstract: This document is a portfolio that summarizes the process of learning and teaching English as foreign language. Reflects the author's experiences during internships and community service, focusing on the importance of mastering the four main language skills: speaking, listen, read and write. Throughout the portfolio, different modules and plans are presented. lessons that address each of these skills, using a structured approach based on analysis of the form, meaning and use (FMU) of language. The importance of effective teaching is highlighted, emphasizing the need for students to educators have a solid understanding of grammar and teaching methodologies well founded. Additionally, the portfolio highlights the usefulness of authentic materials and strategies practices to improve both oral and written comprehension and production. The portfolio too includes reflections on the demonstration lessons carried out, the challenges encountered and the strategies used to overcome them. Finally, he concludes that command of English is essential towards global accessibility and that a methodical and reflective approach to teaching can improve significantly the linguistic skills of the students.
Description: Este documento es un portafolio que resume el proceso de aprendizaje y enseñanza del inglés como lengua extranjera. Refleja las experiencias del autor durante pasantías y servicio comunitario, enfocándose en a la importancia de dominar las cuatro habilidades principales del lenguaje: hablar, escuchar, leer y escribir. A lo largo del portafolio, se presentan diferentes módulos y planes de lecciones que abordan cada una de estas habilidades, utilizando un enfoque estructurado basado en el análisis de a la forma, el significado y el uso (FMU) del idioma.
