El desempleo en la parroquia Eloy Alfaro y su impacto en el crecimiento económico periodo 2018 – 2022.

Abstract

Unemployment is a recurrent social problem that prevents citizens from regularly obtaining a level of income that allows them to meet their basic consumption needs. In Ecuador, the historical deterioration of the labor market, submerged in informality, is evident. This study analyzes the social problems of unemployment in the Eloy Alfaro Parish and its impact on economic growth in the period 2018-2022, for this purpose, a qualitative and descriptive approach is given to the research, and a survey instrument is also applied. The main findings or results revolve around the fact that the Eloy Alfaro Parish has had a marked population and urban growth, however, this has led to an increase in informality, especially in the commercial sector. However, the economy of the parish depends especially on the commercial sector, therefore, the presence of commissaries, pharmacies, and restaurants stimulate the local economy, generate sources of employment for its inhabitants and contribute to the economic growth of the city.
