Abstract

The manuals provide step-by-step guidance for performing various tasks, establishing standards and protocols that guarantee coherence and quality in the implementation of specific processes that play an important role in the management and optimization of the flow of information in an organization. However, challenges related to implementation and maintenance of these manuals. Resistance to change and the need for renewal constant are factors that must be focused on. This study describes the benefits and challenges of procedure manuals in the management of the flow of information that recommend its effective use. Highlights the importance of procedure manuals for optimize the information management of the EP-ULEAM and thus emphasize the need to develop reliable strategies for their implementation and maintenance. These findings will have important implications for organizations seeking to improve the effectiveness of information management in a changing business environment. In the context of information flow, procedure manuals not only define individual responsibilities, but also outline the channels of communication and the tools used to share data and knowledge between team members. In doing so, these documents contribute significantly to the operational efficiency, by ensuring that each part of the process is carried out effectively and without errors.
