Abstract: The objective of this study is: The sensitive, sensory and technological aspects of social networks in the perception ofbody image and self-esteem in the community a reas of Manta 2023. The impact of social networks on the perception of body image and self-esteem is a complex issue that involves sensitive, sensory and technological elements. In this context, exposure to idealized images of bodies on social platforms can ajfect users' self-image. Social pressure to meet unrealistic beauty standards, often promoted through filters and editing tools, can lead to concerns about appearance. The sensory component refers to the visual and emotional experience when interacting with content on social networks. Constant comparison to retouched images and seeking validation through likes and comments can injluence people's self-esteem. From a technological point of view, the use of recommendation algorithms can contribute to the creation of information bubbles, where users are mainly exposed to content that reinforces certain aesthetic standards. Additionally, the proliferation of image editing applications can distort reality, creating unrealistic expectations about physical appearance.
