Abstract: The Russia-Ukraine War has negat ively impacted Ecuadorian flower exports, particularly for Expoflores, due to market loss, international sanct ions, market instabilit y, and increased costs. However, the industry has responded wit h market diversificat ion, risk reduction strategies, and promotion efforts, demonstrating resilience and adaptabilit y. Collaboration among different stakeholders has been crucial in addressing these challenges. Despite difficult ies, the Ecuadorian floriculture industry has the potential to overcome the crisis and continue as a significant provider of high-quality flowers in the global market, through enhanced resilience, market diversificat ion, and collaborative efforts.
Description: La Guerra Rusia-Ucrania ha afectado negativamente las exportaciones de flores ecuatorianas, especialmente para Expoflores, debido a la pérdida de mercados, sanciones internacionales, inestabilidad del mercado y aumento de costos. Sin embargo, la industria ha respondido con estrategias de diversificación de mercados, reducción de riesgos y promoción, demostrando capacidad de recuperación y adaptabilidad.
