Realidad de los TLC para los países en vías de desarrollo: caso Colombia-Estados Unidos.

Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Colombia and the United States, signed in 2012, and its implications for developing countries like Ecuador. The effects of the FTA on key sectors such as agriculture and manufacturing in Colombia are examined through a qualitative methodology including literature review, data analysis, and expert interviews. The findings reveal that the FTA has led to the underdevelopment of productive sectors and increased economic dependence and loss of sovereignty in Colombia. Recommendations focus on strengthening infrastructure and diversifying the economy before signing new FTAs.
