Abstract

The case study on the post-oil transition: economic policies and diversifications was conducted to guide Ecuador towards a stable and diversified economy, seeking to leave the dependence on the oil sector as the largest sector that generates income for the country, because it shows the great risks that the country may face due to the different external or internal circumstances that would destabilize the income from this product. Therefore, a series of objectives were developed to help look for alternatives and ways to promote the development of the different non-oil sectors, where several international experiences in Latin America and the Caribbean are also presented as an incentive to obtain ideas in order to develop their own economic sectors either with the use of economic policies, fiscal and financial incentives or with the facilitation of agreements.
