Abstract

This work addresses the analysis of logistical and sanitary challenges in the export of Ecuadorian blueberries, a product of growing importance in international trade. Through a detailed approach, the main difficulties faced by the supply chain, from production to the product's arrival in international markets, were identified. Among the most significant logistical challenges are the lack of adequate infrastructure for cold storage, inefficiencies in transportation, and complications in coordinating the supply chain. These factors directly affect the quality of the blueberries,reducing their value and competitiveness in the global market. Regarding sanitary challenges, the study reveals that although Ecuadorian blueberries generally comply with international phytosanitary regulations, the process of adapting to the specific regulations of each importing country and obtaining certifications presents significant challenges.
