Abstract: This research develops the topic of work stress and its influence on the performance of workers using the company Puerto Mar S.A, in Manta, 2023, as a case study. Its objective is to determine the influence of the variable Y Job performance. For this purpose, a study of correlational scope, non-experimental – cross-sectional and quantitative design was developed. The population studied was 357 workers from Puerto Mar S.A. With a confidence level of 95%. The questionnaires developed by (Valverde Valencia, 2018) were used to measure work stress, which proposes the dimensions stressful conditions, work overload, role conflict, slow and monotonous stimulation. Likewise, the theory developed by (Chiavenato, 2006) to identify the performance of workers where it is proposed to measure it according to the dimensions of; Planning, Responsibility, Initiative, Opportunity, Quality of work, Reliability/discretion, Interpersonal relationships and compliance with standards. It was determined after the statistical analysis that there is a moderate positive correlation coefficient between the variables X -Y. In this way, the null hypothesis is accepted.
Description: La presente investigación desarrolla la temática del estrés laboral y su influencia en el desempeño de los trabajadores utilizando como caso de estudio a la empresa Puerto Mar S.A, en Manta, 2023. Tiene como objetivo determinar la influencia de la variable X Estrés laboral, sobre la variable Y Desempeño laboral. Para ello se desarrolló un estudio de alcance correlacional, diseño no experimental – transversal y de tipo cuantitativo.
