Seguridad y Salud del trabajador de la empresa industrial Puerto Mar y la prevención de los riesgos laborales.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze the work environment and the perception of employees in the warehouse area about the knowledge of health and occupational safety used by the industrial company “Puerto Mar” in Manta, to mitigate occupational risks in the process. packaging of its products, in which variables such as factors pertaining to occupational health and safety and factors pertaining to occupational risks were used to know the situation in which the company is. The methodology used is qualitative, with a descriptive exploratory design and a non-experimental, transversal design, using instruments such as the survey to obtain results that present the current situation experienced by collaborators within the company. Regarding the results, a deficit was obtained in terms of the Personal Protective Equipment that the company offers to employees, in the lack of training on the process and functions corresponding to each of these, among others. It was determined that the lack of application of certain key occupational health and safety indicators in the company "Puerto Mar" could affect performance and increase the risk of workplace accidents among its employees. The research concludes with an improvement proposal that offers important ideas to improve working conditions in the area studied, thus promoting the well-being and efficiency of workers.
