Abstract: The project focuses on the conversion of a Suzuki GS 125 engine, modifying its fuel system to replace fossil fuel with hydrogen generated from water by electrolysis. This approach addresses the energy crisis and environmental pollution resulting from the use of fossil fuels. The study covers a comprehensive definition of hydrogen, its properties for engine application, and a thorough description of the adaptation process. The use of specific materials, the dimensions of the components and the modifications made to the water storage systems are detailed. Structural calculations of the tanks were carried out with SolidWorks, ensuring accuracy in measurements and optimization of engine performance with the new fuel. Experimental results confirmed the effectiveness of electrolysis for hydrogen separation, while ProfiCAD was used to design electrical diagrams illustrating the system connections and its integration with the engine.
Description: El proyecto se enfoca en la conversión de un motor Suzuki GS 125, modificando su sistema de alimentación para sustituir el combustible fósil por hidrógeno generado a partir de agua mediante electrólisis. Este enfoque aborda la crisis energética y la contaminación ambiental derivada del uso de combustibles fósiles.
